For years, William J. Bell, creator of The Young and the Restless, guided the vision of Genoa City from his home in Chicago. That all changed in 1986 when he, wife Lee Phillip Bell, and their three children, William, Bradley, and Lauralee moved to Los Angeles. It was the beginning of a new chapter in their lives and now, a big part of that chapter has come to a close.

Lauralee Bell On The End Of An Era

Lauralee Bell (Christine, YR) took to Instagram to share a photo of herself and her brothers at their late parents’ home in Beverly Hills, which has now been sold. The trio gathered together for one last photo and a drink to toast their former home.

“A final toast at my parents’ house with my brothers!” Bell, who began playing Christine (AKA Cricket) in 1983. “A bit of sadness, but very grateful! Our parents created such a loving home and we really loved just being with them!❤️

“This house was also where lots of story ideas were created, Y&R and B&B holiday parties took place, family bday celebrations, hysterical grandkid Easter egg hunts, our annual Christmas photo but most importantly, lots of laughs. (and of course some tears),” the actress continued.

“So when you see some the B&B actors in the opening titles or an establishing Forrester house shot, you’ll know that was the location of so many special times,” Bell adds. “Those photographs will hopefully be airing for many years to come (thanks to all of you who watch each day) and seeing them will always be a wonderful reminder. So many of you have experienced saying goodbye to family homes and your messages have meant a lot. #familyhome #bradbell #billbell #bestoftimes #willmissit ❤️”

“❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I could not appreciate this and love you more girl❤️,” posted Michelle Stafford (Phyllis, YR).

“Thank you for always sharing your home on screen and off ❤️ 🥂,” posted Casey Kasprzyk, BB’s supervising producer.

“Wow,” posted Martha Byrne (ex-Lily, As the World Turns). “I was in your parents’ house and Brad played me the theme song to his new show, The Bold and Beautiful. So many memories there for all of you. Xoxoxo.”

“So sad!!!!” posted Maria Arena Bell, Bill’s wife, and former executive producer/head writer, YR, and former writer, BB. “I will never forget the day I walked into that house to hang out with all of you in 1988!! Tennis! Salad!! So fun.”

“This is so sweet!” posted Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke, BB). “All the times I went up to your parents’ house for a dinner, a party, photoshoots, filming, etc, I always felt like it was home. Such a wonderful family! Lots of love!❤️”

The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful air weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air dates.
