Krista Allen Talks About ‘Wigging’ Out on The Bold and the Beautiful

The Bold and the Beautiful wanted fans of the show to embrace Krista Allen as Dr. Taylor Hayes, so they asked the actress to don a wig that would allow viewers to more fully embrace her in the part. While Allen’s acting captured Taylor’s essence, the fall helped sell the physical look. Now, however, there’s been a big change!

Krista Allen Talks Taylor’s Fall

As viewers of The Bold and the Beautiful saw recently, Taylor’s hair looks a little bit different. That’s because Allen is now sporting her own natural locks on-screen. Allen announced the news that she’d be ditching Taylor’s wig on Twitter. “I have been waiting for this day since I aired on December 10,” Allen recalled.

The actress, who is active on social media, was well aware that there were many comments on the fake hair she was wearing. “Thank you to every single one of you that complained in outrage!” Krista Allen jokes. “We did it!”

Shining As Taylor Hayes

Frankly, most viewers probably weren’t focusing on Taylor’s hair but rather Allen’s performances. The actress first debuted on The Bold and the Beautiful as Shelley, a Bikini waitress, who briefly dated Sly Donovan (Brent Jasmer). When B&B wanted to bring back the role of Taylor and Hunter Tylo didn’t reprise the part, Allen stepped in and became an instant hit. She has a clear concept of Taylor’s key relationships and history with her ex-husband Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), their kids Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Allen has also shined in scenes opposite Taylor’s rival Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang).
