Kimberlin Brown is best known for starring as Sheila Carter on both The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful, but she has appeared on countless daytime shows.
Along with being an actress, Brown is also active in politics. From where she was born and raised to a run for Congress, here are five fast facts you need to know about the actress!
Brown was born on June 29 in Hayward, California, but she was raised in San Diego. Though she’s obviously an actress now (and a politician), she actually grew up wanting to be an architect.
Though she wanted to be an architect for most of her life, Brown was actually discovered by famed modeling agent Nina Blanchard. At first, Brown wasn’t sure if she wanted to pursue modeling as a career, so she decided to move out to Los Angeles to give it a shot and ended up traveling to Tokyo, Milan, and Paris for work. Once she returned to Los Angeles she then decided to try acting.
Brown has been very involved in politics and was a speaker at the 2016 Republican National Convention as a supporter of Donald Trump. She then announced she was running for Congress in October 2017 in California’s 36th district. She ended up losing to Democrat Raul Ruiz.
Brown is a very busy woman. Along with being an actress and politician, is a small business owner! She and her husband, Gary Pelzer, own and run an avocado farm in California.
Along with her starring roles on The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless, Brown has appeared in many other soap operas, including Santa Barbara, Capital, Another World, General Hospital, All My Children, One Life to Live, and Port Charles.
