The Bold and the Beautiful is planning a Brooke-centric episode, set to air on the show’s 35th anniversary later this month. She’ll be visited by important men in her life so that means Winsor Harmon is back as Thorne Forrester and Jack Wagner will reprise his role as Nick Marone. There’s more good news — CBS has renewed the half-hour serial for two more years through the 2023-24 season.
Jack Wagner and Winsor Harmon Return
B&B has decided its 35th anniversary episode will be all about the show’s premiere heroine — Brooke Logan Forrester, who has been played by Katherine Kelly Lang since the show’s inception. Brooke will share scenes with five key men in her life — Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), Eric Forrester (John McCook), Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), and the already mentioned above Thorne, and Nick.
“Thirty-five years ago, I would have never imagined what was in store,” said Bradley P. Bell, executive producer and head writer of B&B. “Since our premiere in 1987, it’s been a fantastic journey and incredible experience for all of us. We would not be here if not for the invaluable support of CBS and our millions of fans around the globe for their loyalty and support.”
Recently, Brooke has found herself on the outs with true love Ridge thanks to her drunken dalliance with Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan). Despite warnings from her loved ones, Brooke has repeatedly made similar mistakes. Now, she’ll be taking a good long look at her life and hopefully, the conversations she’s set to have with these five men will give her some insights into her psyche.
Our Miss Brooke
Lang’s Brooke has been wed to all five of the Bold and the Beautiful men who appear in the anniversary special. She married Eric twice — in 1991 and in 2005. She wed Ridge in 1994 for the first time but that union was ruled invalid as Ridge’s first wife Taylor Hayes was still alive. Brooke’s second marriage to Ridge was annulled in 1998. She wed Thorne in 2001 and had that union annulled later the same year. Brooke wed Nick, Ridge’s half-brother, in 2006 and they divorced the following year. Also, Brooke wed Bill, the man behind Spencer Publications, in 2017 only to have that union annulled the following year. Along the way, she’s wed Ridge an additional four (!) times.
The Bold and the Beautiful debuted on March 23, 1987 and was created by the late William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell. The show is executive produced and head written by Bradley Bell. Katherine Kelly Lang and John McCook have been with the show since its inception and both appeared in the premiere episode. The broadcast of this special episode was originally set for B&B’s 35th anniversary, March 23, but due to a recent news pre-emption, the episode has been bumped to Thursday, March 24.
