The Forrester clan is still a big presence on The Bold and the Beautiful and always will be, even without their beloved matriarch, Stephanie. However, many Forrester family members aren’t on the canvas right now. It’s time that they come back for a visit!
The Bold and the Beautiful — It’s Time To Come Home
There’s potential for big conflict on B&B if and when Quinn’s (Rena Sofer) affair with Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) comes to light. Eric’s (John McCook) going to need lots of support to deal with this betrayal, so wouldn’t it be great if both of his daughters — Kristen (Tracy Melchior) and Felicia (Lesli Kay) — were around to give their dad a boost?
Thorne has been absent from the canvas for too long as well. Currently living overseas and working at Forrester International, Thorne would be a great asset to his family if he were closer to them. It’s possible that Carter will lose his gig as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Forrester Creations should his fling with Quinn become common knowledge. Who better than Thorne to take his place if Carter finds himself looking for a new gig?
Kristen’s return would benefit more than her father’s welfare. She could check in on son Zende (Delon de Metz) and, perhaps, he could open up to her as to why his marriage to Nicole went south? Viewers are going to care more about Zende if they understand what led to his painful breakup.
All soaps need a regular doctor and while B&B has one in Finn (Tanner Novlan), it could always use another one in Bridget (Ashley Jones). Bridget shows up for party scenes and the occasional medical crisis, but the fan favorite’s regular presence would only enrich the story canvas.
We’re heading into the summer, a time when soaps often feature younger characters. Perhaps it’s time for R.J. (last played by Anthony Turpel) to return. And maybe Amber (Adrienne Frantz) and Marcus’s (Texas Battle) daughter Rosie could be aged too? R.J. and Rosie could serve as the foundation of a new teen set.
Viewers don’t embrace change, but the return of these characters would be more like welcoming back familiar faces. A soap can never go wrong when it dips into its rich history in order to tell new tales. B&B already has the story mapped out for the foreseeable future. But next year’s 35th anniversary is a great time for the half-hour soap to showcase some missing Forresters! The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS.
