Is It Time For Bold and the Beautiful To Take Characters On Remote?

One reason The Bold and the Beautiful is set in sunny Southern California is so that the show, which is shot in Los Angeles, can take advantage of shooting on location. Over the decades, the international hit series has gone abroad to shoot episodes in Australia, Italy, and other locales.

The Bold and the Beautiful Location, Location, Location

Lately, of course, due to COVID-19, the soap has stuck close to home or the parking lot of TV City, the production facility where the show films. Do you miss seeing the Forresters and company traveling to exotic locales and remote taping? Soap Hub posed this question to B&B fans.

B&B: Close To Home

The majority of you, over 56%, say that you’re fine not seeing special remotes as part of the show’s fabric. You say that you tune in to to see characters in all their ‘bold and beautiful’ closeup glory. It doesn’t matter if we go abroad for a romantic proposal or fashion showdowns. The real ‘scenery’ is the show’s attractive actors. Besides, B&B still shows those awesome establishing shots of Southern California to open up many scenes.

The Bold and the Beautiful Travel Plans

Many of you, almost 30%, say that yes, you’d like to see B&B go on remote. You’d also like to see them take on a new locale. They’ve pretty much hit everywhere in Southern California over the years — Beverly Hills, Universal Studios, Santa Monica Pier, and Catalina Island. Who could forget about Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge Forrester’s 1994 wedding on the beach in Malibu? How about checking out some other L.A. hotspots that B&B hasn’t yet visited?

The Way We Were

B&B has visited both Italy and Australia over the years for one important reason. The show is especially popular in those markets. Who wouldn’t love another tour of the shores of Australia or a shot of the famous Sydney Opera House?

The show celebrated its 30th anniversary down under as Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Brooke looked back on three decades of fashion, fun, and romance. B&B can’t lose with another trip to Italy say 14%. It’d be a perfect opportunity for characters who are running the often-mentioned Forrester International to be seen. When safety measures allow, B&B can pack its bags once more!
