Grand Payback: The Bold and the Beautiful’s Brooke Outs Quinn’s Affair

There’s no love lost between The Bold and the Beautiful’s Brooke and Quinn. In fact, the two women seriously loathe each other. So scripting Brooke as the one to out Quinn’s affair with Carter to Eric was sublime payback, totally justified, and it played out brilliantly.

The Bold and the Beautiful’s Turnabout’s Fair Play

Think back to when Quinn (Rena Sofer) decided to out Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) kiss with Bill (Don Diamont) during a reunion party for Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke. She inserted a photo of the pair’s lip lock into a rotating digital picture frame; then made sure it was on full display during the soiree, knowing full well it would blow up the couple’s festivities.

It was only fitting that Brooke “return the favor” to Quinn, exposing her affair with Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) during Quinn’s vow renewal ceremony to Eric (John McCook). The stakes were just as high. Quinn was as determined to keep her fling with Carter from Eric, as Brooke was to keep her kiss with Bill from Ridge. Both women were desperate to preserve their marriages.

Seizing the B&B Opportunity

And, like Quinn, Brooke was just as determined to expose the truth about her longtime nemesis – let it prevail and let the chips fall as they may. Forcing Carter and Quinn to come clean about their affair was exquisite justice for Brooke. She’s spent years trying to get Quinn out of Eric’s life, believing his duplicitous wife wasn’t worthy of a man of his caliber’s love and devotion. So when Brooke finally had the opportunity, she seized it.

The Bold and the Beautiful: The Blameless Game

It’s hard to blame her. First of all, Quinn did the exact same thing to Brooke, months earlier. and she followed that up by finagling a Ridge and Shauna (Denise Richards) wedding in Vegas. Beyond all that, it’s not just that Brooke detests Quinn. She firmly believes that exposing Quinn was the right thing to do, that ridding Eric of his wayward wife is what is truly best for him.

Bold and Beautiful: Now What?

Now that that truth’s out, Brooke has finally gotten her wish. An angry Eric has tossed Quinn out of their home and out of Forrester Creations. However, given Quinn’s penchant for and expertise at payback, it could be a case of be careful what you wish for — for Brooke.

If Quinn reverts back to her old ways, there could be dire consequences for Brooke, who might end up ruing the day she declared war on her adversary. And, this time, Quinn would be the woman totally justified.
