Five Fast Facts About Veteran Soap Star Vincent Irizarry

Currently playing Dr. Jordan Armstrong on The Bold and the Beautiful, Vincent Irizarry has starred appeared on many other soaps like Guiding Light, Santa Barbara, All My Children, One Life to Live, The Young and the Restless, and Days of Our Lives.

Along with his work on soaps, Irizarry has also appeared on shows such as Beverly Hills, 90210 and Murder, She Wrote. From where he was born and raised to his children, here are five fast facts about Vincent Irizarry.

In The Beginning
Irizarry was born on November 12 in Queens, New York as one of six children. His family later moved to Lake Grove, New York, which is where he grew up. He began taking piano lessons when he was young and attended Berklee College of Music in Boston. While in college, he started acting and began working in theater.

First TV Role
After moving to New York City to attend the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute, Irizarry got his first television role — playing Alexandra’s long-lost son, Brandon ‘Lujack’ Luvonoczek on Guiding Light. Years later, he would return to play Lujack’s (unknown prior to this) twin, Nick McHenry.

At the Movies
Irizarry made his feature film debut as Sissy Spacek’s husband in Marie: A True Story. He was also in Heartbreak Ridge, which was directed by legendary actor/director Clint Eastwood. Irizarry played the character of Fragetti in the movie about a U.S. Marine who gets a bunch of young Marines into shape before the invasion of Grenada.

Eyes on the Prize
Irizarry played David Hayward on All My Children and won a Daytime Emmy Award in 2009 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. In fact, he ended up tying with Jeff Branson, who won for his role as Shayne Lewis on Guiding Light.

Getting Personal
Irizarry first married actress Signy Coleman in 1989, whom he met when both were on Santa Barara. They had a daughter, Siena Sophia, in 1990 but ended up divorcing in 1992.

He then married Avalon House in 1997 and they have two children together — 22-year-old daughter Aria and 17-year-old son Elias. However, the couple split in 2010. Irizarry also has a 30-year-old son named Ash Harris from a previous relationship.
