Ingo Rademacher came on strong when he debuted last year as Thorne Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful. He was determined to win Brooke’s heart and make his presence known on the canvas!
Surprisingly, Thorne shifted to the backburner, but now he’s front and center with a different love interest, Katie (Heather Tom) — and storyline, helping her win custody of Will (Finnegan George).
Here are five fun facts you may not know about Thorne!
1. Heir Apparent
Thorne, not Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), is the true firstborn of Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Stephanie (Susan Flannery). Ridge’s pop was Massimo Marone (Joseph Mascolo).
2. The Marrying Man
Ridge isn’t the only man who gets to the altar with frequency. Thorne has been married to Caroline (Joanna Johnson), Macy (Bobbie Eakes), Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), and Darla (Schae Harrison). His other romantic interests include Claudia (Lilly Melgar) and Taylor (Hunter Tylo).
3. Game Of “Thornes”
Rademacher is the fourth actor to play the part. Clayton Norcross originated the role in 1987. Jeff Tractha took the role over in 1989 and played it until 1996. Winsor Harmon succeeded Trachta and played Thorne for 20 years on and off until Rademacher was cast last year.
4. Broadway Bound
When Tractha played the part in the mid-90s, Broadway legend Tommy Tune guested as himself on the half-hour soap in a story that had Thorne going to Broadway to perform in a revival of Grease, which mirrored Trachta’s real-life move to the New York stage.
5. Darling Daughter
Thorne’s late daughter, Aly (Ashlyn Pearce), was named “Alexandria” after Thorne’s late wife, Macy Alexander, who died (off camera, hmm) after a chandelier fell on her. Aly died after attacking Steffy, who threw Aly off of her, hitting her head fatally on a rock.
When Thorne returned to Los Angeles last year, he shared the news that he had started a design label in honor of Aly.
