Taylor fans are thrilled the character is returning and is appearing more regularly on The Bold and the Beautiful. The character debuted on the half-hour soap in 1990. Here some fun facts you might have forgotten about the beautiful doctor!

Double Degree: When Taylor debuted, her patient was Caroline Forrester (Joanna Johnson), who was dying from leukemia. After Caroline passed away, B&B revealed that Taylor was a psychiatrist, arguably a marketable profession given the dysfunction of many of the show’s characters!

Professional Handle: Taylor’s maiden name isn’t Hayes — it’s Hamilton. She kept the ‘Hayes’ from her marriage to Blake Hayes (Peter Brown) after the couple split.

Back From The Dead: Taylor returned from the dead not once, but twice. The first time, Taylor was believed dead after a plane crash, but she’d been mugged in the ladies room during a layover and never got back on the flight.

The second time, she was shot by Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). Both times Taylor was kept captive by Prince Omar (Kabir Bedi).

Model Behavior: Taylor’s never modeled like Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and others have, but one time Ridge (Thorsten Kaye; previously Ronn Moss) asked Taylor to put on a wedding gown showstopper.

He had an ulterior motive — when Taylor walked out on stage, Ridge proposed marriage to his former wife. She said yes.

Engaging Eric: Taylor’s had many suitors, but she refrained from pursuing a relationship with one of them – Eric (John McCook). The Forrester patriarch let Taylor know he was interested, but she refused to pursue him because it would hurt Stephanie (Susan Flannery).

Later, Stephanie, unaware of Eric’s interest in Taylor, told her friend she hoped there’d be another chance for her and her ex. Taylor wistfully wished her pal all the best, stoically sacrificing her own potential happiness so her friend could have hers.
