So, RJ Forrester is back in Los Angeles on The Bold and the Beautiful, and it looks like he is ready to start trouble while we all get a reminder of whose son he is almost every time we see him.
The Bold and the Beautiful Polling
RJ (Joshua Hoffman) has only been hanging around the Forrester Creations offices for a few short weeks, and the number of times he has been referred to as Ridge Forrester Jr. is astronomical, but is it necessary? Are you getting sick of hearing it or not?
Always Something There To Remind Us
A small 12% of you are happy to get a little refresher course or learn something about the show’s history if you are new to B&B. Calling RJ Ridge Forrester Jr. is a good thing because that way, fans can get used to him being around while being sure about who he is and how he fits into the scheme of things. Perhaps this does not need to go on forever, but for now, it’s fine.
It’s Ok, But Not All The Time
It’s normal to call kids by their full name sometimes, but just sometimes, say 36% of you. However, constantly is a bit weird, and you wish RJ could just be called RJ most of the time. There’s no need to make a point of letting us know who he is in every episode the character appears in. We have memories and can watch a soap without the constant reminder that Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) is RJ’s dad.
We Know Who Fathered RJ Forrester
On soaps, Who’s the Daddy? stories are as common as the sun coming up in the morning, but it has been well-established who RJ’s dad is for years now, and there is no need to hit us over the head with it multiple times a week by constantly referring to RJ as Ridge Forrester Jr. We get it. Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge, the Destiny of Soaps, have one child together, and a full 52% of you are sick of being bashed over the head with that information.
