A matriarch has gone missing on The Bold and the Beautiful. Poppy hasn’t been seen since she learned about Luna’s death. She admitted that she was glad her daughter was dead, but then she backtracked and divulged her complicated feelings. Poppy is needed, especially with Li’s storyline.
Redemption Arc Gone Wrong
Luna (Lisa Yamada) ended up in a murderous rampage, which almost cost the lives of Steffy (Jaqueline MacInnes Wood), Liam (Scott Clifton), and Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). She also got shot, no thanks to Liam’s heroic efforts. At first, B&B fans assumed that Luna was supposed to be dead.
Li (Naomi Matsuda) had second thoughts when she operated on her granddaughter. She realized that she didn’t want her to go out this way. Left for dead for the crimes she committed.
Li believed that Luna deserved a redemption arc. So, she fought to save Luna’s life so she could secretly rehabilitate her. Li lied to her family and announced that she had passed away from complications during surgery.
Poppy (Romy Park) responded coldly, which shocked everyone. Li was angry at her sister’s reaction. She didn’t know how Poppy could be so cold. She thought she could be Luna’s better role model, but she was wrong. (Find out the moment that Li attacks Luna on B&B.)
Mother’s Daughter
Poppy has been missing since. But she could’ve been utilized more in this current storyline. Maybe she would’ve caught on to what her sister’s been up to lately.
After all, Li isn’t the type of person to take a leave of absence from work. She’s a known workaholic who never takes a break.
Rather than having Will (Crew Morrow) and Remy (Christian Weissmann) finding out that Luna’s alive, it could’ve been her own mother. Poppy could’ve learned about the recent chaos that Luna caused.
Understandably, Poppy would’ve been shocked to learn her daughter was still alive. But she also would wonder where Luna went wrong.
Now, her daughter is obsessed with a guy who wants nothing to do with her as she doubles down on her delusions. Luna thinks she could have a life with Will. She bought into the idea that a baby could bond them.
Of course, Luna would blame her mom for the way she turned out. But she would finally get a reality check: She is her mother’s daughter.
A manipulative murderer who also takes advantage of men. It would be interesting to see Poppy’s reaction now and how she would see herself in her daughter, as well. Some have argued that Poppy took advantage of Finn (Tanner Novlan) when he was just 18.
