Ridge wants to remain committed to Taylor on The Bold and the Beautiful. He likes where things are in their relationship, even though it’s slowed down, which has Taylor questioning Ridge’s loyalty. Meanwhile, fans might be torn up over the truth of Ridge’s commitment.
Commitment Problems
It’s safe to say that Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) has commitment issues. He can’t decide whether he wants Taylor (Rebecca Budig) or Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang). Ridge left Brooke when he assumed that she was part of the Forrester Creations takeover. He still holds this over her head to this day.
Brooke did everything in her power to prove that she didn’t pull the wool over Ridge’s eyes, but Ridge still has his doubts. Because of this, he reconciled with Taylor. He’s remaining committed to her because he’s broken her heart before. Ridge doesn’t want to risk that, even if he has conflicted feelings for Brooke.

The Cold Hard Truth
It’s clear that Ridge wants Brooke back. He acts cold and aloof when he’s around her, but his recent actions speak otherwise. Ridge’s head nearly exploded when he saw Brooke and Nick (Jack Wagner) together. He doesn’t want her around him.
But Ridge can’t admit his feelings to himself. There’s still a part of him that loves Brooke. He thinks he’s the only right man for her. But he’s found himself stuck with Taylor. He’s struggling to work his way out of this relationship, this time around.

Taylor’s broken heart syndrome might prevent Ridge from going back to Brooke. He’s being so stubborn about his feelings this time around because he feels responsible for Taylor’s health. Ridge leaving Taylor could cause her to relapse.
The B&B spoilers suggest that Ridge and Brooke will reconnect in Naples. It’s possible that Taylor will learn about it. Ridge could stay with Taylor for this reason: not because he loves her, but because he doesn’t want to hurt her again.
