The Bold and the Beautiful jolted viewers when Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) sided with villainous Sheila Carter late last year. Now, the show has shocked fans again by revealing that Bill’s been apparently playing Sheila all along. Kudos to Diamont for taking Bill on more twists and turns that have viewers glued to their seats.
Fans quite weren’t sure of what to make about Bill’s 180-degree turn with Sheila. Had she poisoned his sword necklace with some kind of drug that altered his personality? Was there some kind of hypnosis or mind control going on? What could explain why Bill was giving his allegiance to Sheila? We got our answer as Bill interrogated Sheila.
Sheila’s starting to realize that every gift comes at a cost. She’s already lying to Bill about her dalliance with Deacon (Sean Kanan). In fact, Sheila’s starting to feel a bit trapped. That’s because Don Diamont is bringing an unnerving edge to his character. If Bill’s trying to make Sheila off balance, he’s achieving that goal.
Bill reminded Sheila that he’s done plenty of bad stuff — attempting to kill Ridge, and blowing up Spectra Fashions with Liam (Scott Clifton) and Sally (Courtney Hope) inside. “I could have killed my own son…does that sound familiar?” Bill noted. “I’ve killed people, too.”
Sheila didn’t nibble aloud at “too” but she did flash back privately to the time she helped knock Dr. Jay Garvin (Brett Stimely) to his death off a balcony and when she unleashed killer bees on actor Lance (Adam Huss). Don Diamont used Bill’s seductive charm and calm voice to try to get Sheila to fess up. However, she isn’t ready to go there just yet.
By the episode’s end, we see that Bill has had a reason all along for acting the way he did. He met up with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) at a secret FBI rendezvous. Ridge asked his “partner” how he was holding up. “How am I holding up? How am I holding…how do you think I’m holding up? I am ready…I am so ready to put Sheila Carter behind bars for life!”
Bill and Ridge teaming up? Wonders never cease. Kudos to Don Diamont for making us wonder for months why Bill was supporting Sheila only to then reveal that that’s the last thing he’s doing!
