Ridge just dumped Taylor. Now, he’s making plans to marry Brooke in a simple wedding on the Wednesday, September 10 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful.
In a Rush To Get Married… Just Not With You
This is the fastest breakup and makeup in the soap’s history. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) called off his engagement to Taylor (Rebecca Budig), who’s left brokenhearted as she spilled all to Thomas (Matthew Aktinson).
Meanwhile, Ridge is racing to marry Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) as soon as possible. But he didn’t want a lavish wedding. He wanted to keep it simple. Ridge told Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) that he wanted him to officiate his nuptials to Brooke.
This surprised Carter since he assumed Ridge was planning his wedding to Taylor. But he knew that Ridge was still in love with Brooke. He just broke down Ridge’s complicated dating history to Daphne (Murielle Hilaire).
Speak Now, Or Forever Hold Your Peace
Someone is bound to sabotage this ceremony. But who? Thomas (Matthew Aktinson) might put a stop to it. He has no problem speaking his mind, even to his own father.
The purpose of Thomas’s return was to ensure that his father didn’t break his mother’s heart. But the last thing Taylor needs is to take back a man who clearly doesn’t want her.
However, Thomas is desperate for happiness. He wants to see his parents get married again. So, his desperation could lead him to break up the wedding. (Will Thomas get desperate enough to beg Hope back on B&B?)
Or, it’s possible that Taylor might be willing to take Ridge back. She might’ve given him a clean break, but she might not be over him just yet. She could make a last-ditch attempt at begging Ridge back after her son gets to her head. Their kids are good at convincing them they belong together.
