The Thursday, October 2, 2025, episode of The Bold and the Beautiful didn’t go the way that Carter anticipated. He wanted to plan their future together. However, he had to take his future into his own hands and end their relationship.
An Unexpected Proposal of Sorts
Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) wanted to get married as soon as possible. He helped get Hope for the Future back on track. (Will Carter regret his swift business decision?)
Now, he wanted to focus on his future with Hope (Annika Noelle). He wanted to make sure that she was happy for the rest of her life. However, she was dragging on their wedding plans. Hope felt that their wedding could use some planning. Carter was ready to start planning as soon as possible.
Hope’s Conflicted Heart
What Hope wasn’t sharing was that she still had lingering feelings for Liam (Scott Clifton). Apparently, spending time with your ex is bound to bring up some old feelings. Carter could tell that Hope’s mind was elsewhere. She got a text from Liam. He sent a photo of Beth (Jordyn Lynn Ariza), who was dressed for the dance.
Carter could tell that she wanted to be there with them. Hope wondered if it was okay for her to go. He told her that it was. However, Hope didn’t want to disappoint him. Carter felt that Beth would be the one who would be disappointed. He told Hope to go and make her daughter’s night. (Will Hope and Liam finally have a fresh start on B&B?)
Carter’s Heartbreaking Decision
Carter made unexpected plans with Hope. Just not the kind he expected. Even though it was hard, he felt it was the right thing to do. He broke off their engagement and told Hope to give her daughter what she wants. To get her parents back together. Which was also what’s been on Hope’s heart all this time.
Carter slid the engagement ring off Hope’s finger. The two shared a tearful and tender moment, culminating in a sweet kiss, until Carter walked away for good.
Losing Out At Love?
Meanwhile, Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) was drinking her sorrows at Il Giardino. She couldn’t stop thinking about Carter and wanted him to join her. She told the bartender that she could sing. He advised her to join the open mic night. Carter walked into the restaurant as Daphne sang a sad, romantic song.
He had no idea she could sing. She asked him if he was okay. He revealed that he was a “loser in love.” Daphne grabbed his hand. Something tells us that Carter won’t be a loser in love for long. Will he move on with Daphne? (Find out what previously happened on B&B.)
