In the October 15 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Hope struggled to come up with three key pieces for Hope for the Future. Meanwhile, Deke snuck around with his portfolio at Forrester Creations. Could he be the one who helps revive her collection?

Key Takeaways

  • Deke just graduated from fashion school and wants to work as a designer for Forrester Creations.
  • Hope just got HFTF back, but she’s struggling with coming up for a concept.
  • She lost Zende and Thomas, who are focusing on other endeavors.
  • Deke could be the perfect person to revive her line since he knows her best.

Hope Is Feeling Hopeless

The episode opened with a fashion show. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang—who is turning cover shoots into a storytelling series) got a preview of Hope for the Future. But the three designs weren’t giving that wow factor.

Hope (Annika Noelle) has been feeling lost, both personally and professionally. She’s trying to find herself after a divorce. She dumped Liam (Scott Clifton) for Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), then left him for Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), with whom she was engaged.

That all changed when Carter ended their engagement, which led her back to Liam, and now she’s trying to navigate these changes in her career. But Hope lost Zende (Delon de Metz) and Thomas, both talented men who offered their creative input.

What Is Deke Up To?

Hope noticed that Deke (Harrison Cone) was lurking outside the door. He had his portfolio with him. He bent down to prop it near the door so that no one could see. Hope didn’t notice. She was too happy to have her brother with her at Forrester Creations. She discussed her designs, which she had been working on for a while.

She should’ve taken Deke’s advice about showcasing the growth and maturity she’s experienced in the last few years in her collection. However, she can’t get out of her comfort zone, which hasn’t brought it, according to the numbers.

Deke could be the one person who could revive her line. However, he looks like he’s up to no good. (What was Deke doing to Hope’s designs on B&B October 8?)

But it’s more innocent than it looks. Deke doesn’t want to use his connections to get into the fashion industry. He would rather rely on his talent. There’s a lot of nepotism afoot at Forrester Creations alone. After all, it was started by the Forresters, and there’s also the conflict of interest involving the Logan family.

This will usher in a new generation of designers. Expect more fashion wars and family feuds in the future. In the meantime, Deke could be the emerging new talent that Hope needs to break her out of her long-time fashion funk.
