What Happened on B&B

Katie (Heather Tom) is overwhelmed with the process of starting a fashion house. She has fears that she could become the laughingstock of the industry. So, she took the time to visit Donna (Jennifer Gareis) and Eric (John McCook) at the Forrester Mansion.

They discussed her strained relationship with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), who had forbidden Katie from using the Logan trademark. Eric noticed that Katie said she was overwhelmed with the new fashion house. He told her that she’s extraordinary.

Katie mentioned Eric’s retirement. She shared that she didn’t agree with it. Eric brushed off her comment and changed the subject. He assured Katie that she would make the Logan name even bigger than it had been before.

After Donna left, Katie wanted to know how Eric was doing. He said he’s been keeping busy during his retirement. He enjoys the time he spends with his grandkids, but it’s been a bit of an adjustment.

Eric also spends most of his time sketching. He noted how ironic it is that Katie is opening new doors, while he’s closing his. As they say, as one door closes, another one opens. Eric could find himself back to doing what he loves.

Why It Matters to Eric

Katie needs a few good designers. And she could really use Eric’s acumen. She mentioned that she needed his guidance. After all, he made running a fashion house seem so effortless.

Eric admitted that it was hard work, but he and Stephanie (Susan Flannery) shared a vision. Katie told Eric that she doesn’t want to let Bill (Don Diamont) down. She wanted to know how he succeeded in such a competitive industry.

Katie didn’t just need Eric’s guidance. She also needs his talent and vision. She needs someone who can help put couture back on the map. Eric could lend his expertise, name, and designs to the fashion house that desperately needs a backbone.

The Fallout for Forrester Creations

Eric didn’t retire on his own accord. He was pushed out of Forrester Creations, the company he founded and created. He wasn’t ready to retire anytime soon. The fashion icon had much more to share with the world.

He envisioned seeing his latest designs on the red carpet at events. But Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) convinced him to end his career and focus on his health. Eric had no choice in the matter.

But now, he could be given the opportunity to revive his career. And that would anger his son, who’s already spiraling over the new fashion house. He claims that it doesn’t have a world-renowned designer at the helm.

Eric told Katie that she needed a fantastic first collection. She told him that she didn’t have a designer yet. But maybe he could be that designer who could help her launch. She already has his support. Will he take the leap?
