What Happened: Carter Walton Found True Love

Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) tricked Daphne (Murielle Hilaire) into getting married as soon as possible. She was already wearing the wedding dress. Why wait any longer?

He’s been waiting for this moment for 13 years. No longer was Carter the officiant; he was finally the groom. Daphne told him that she wanted her best friend there on her special day. But everyone already knew, and they showed up to celebrate.

Carter asked Zende (Delon De Metz) to officiate. He just got ordained earlier that morning. Their friends and loved ones walked in and encouraged Daphne to marry Carter.

Zende made a speech before officiating the wedding. He admitted that it was “about damn time” for Carter to get married. He’s waited too long. Zende asked if anyone objected.

Why It Matters: Carter Had a Series of Failed Engagements

This was a big deal because Carter’s been through the wringer. He has a long list of ex-girlfriends and a series of failed engagements. Love never came to him easily. Carter was the one who pursued these women and wanted to marry them as soon as possible.

He got high off the feeling of love. But with Daphne, it’s different. Even B&B’s Lawrence Saint-Victor explained what made Daphne different from all the rest. She was the one who pursued Carter.

The Fallout: Their Love Story Wasn’t Organic

It’s a harsh truth, but it needs to be told. Carter thinks their love story was organically created. But it was orchestrated by Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). She hired Daphne to break up Carter’s relationship with Hope (Annika Noelle) during their coup attempt.

Her initial plan was to seduce Carter. But she realized that he wasn’t easily seducible. So, she spoke through to his humanness, and ultimately fell in love with him. Will someone spill at the reception how their relationship really started? Did Carter finally find his happily ever after?
