This week’s messiest move was an obvious one on The Bold and the Beautiful. So much for being fully rehabbed. Luna came back from the dead with no accountability for her former actions. Fresh off her near-death experience, she was ready to pounce on Will, who was celebrating his promotion at Forrester Creations.
Blurred Lines
This has been a common trope in soap operas. B&B has a history of blurring the lines of consent among its characters. It has happened in the past with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Hope’s (Annika Noelle) boyfriend Oliver (Zack Conroy). There was also a controversial storyline that involved Brooke and her “destiny,” aka Ridge (ex Ron Moss), when she was under the influence. This time, Luna (Lisa Yamada) planned to get Will (Crew Morrow) so drunk that he would think he was in bed with his girlfriend, Electra (Laneya Grace).

Her scheme worked. She disguised herself as a bartender at the promotion party that was held at Il Giardino. Then, she made sure to get her hands on the strongest alcohol possible. One bartender warned Luna that one bottle had 180-proof alcohol, which is so potent that it should be outlawed.
But instead of discarding it, Luna used the dubious alcohol to make Will’s vodka sodas. Then, she got him where she wanted him. She used Electra’s mask as she impersonated his girlfriend to get him into bed. Will assumed that Electra returned to make love to him.
Why It’s Messy
The obvious reason is that Will was sexually assaulted. Not only is Luna a murderer, but she’s also a predator. She is racking up her list of crimes in a short amount of time. Luna should be upset with Will for trying to send her back to prison. But instead, she was determined to get Will, even though he’s made it clear he’s not interested.
Luna and Will’s storyline seems more predatory than a love story. She’s been obsessed with Will, even though he wants nothing to do with her. Yet, she’s convinced that there was more to the kiss they shared. Will is going to be in hot water with Electra even though he didn’t do anything wrong.
Luna was the one who made sure he was so drunk, he wasn’t aware of his senses. That gave her the leeway to take advantage of him. In addition, Luna hasn’t taken accountability for her past actions, leading some to wonder where she’ll go from here. She went from being everyone’s favorite villain to being irredeemable.
