After 15 years of playing The Bold and the Beautiful’s Liam Spencer, Scott Clifton has become one of the show’s most popular and likable heroes. He’s connected to two of the soap’s core characters, Steffy and Hope, and shares children with both of them. So, despite his recent diagnosis with an inoperable terminal brain tumor, Liam absolutely cannot die.
Special Bonds
Liam is too pivotal to too many people, and taking him off the story canvas would not only leave a huge, irreparable void in all of their lives, but also the entire show as a whole. Aside from his close relationships with both Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Hope (Annika Noelle), Liam is also a devoted father to Kelly (Sophia Paras McKinlay) and Beth (Jordyn Ariza) and a big brother to Will (Crew Morrow).
But, perhaps most importantly, he’s the eldest son of billionaire media mogul Bill Spencer (Don Diamont); the heir apparent to Dollar Bill’s fortune, a key executive at Spencer Publications, and the person who’ll one day take over as the family patriarch.
Plus, Liam is one of the few people, along with Katie (Heather Tom), who grounds the headstrong Bill. He’s a gatekeeper who helps keep Bill in line and is not afraid to call him out when necessary.

Bill to the Rescue
Liam and Bill’s strong, yet oftentimes combative relationship is what makes Bill the perfect person to lead the charge to save Liam. While Bill can often be obstinate and insufferable, he’s also fiercely devoted and loving when it comes to his family.
To date, Liam hasn’t shared his condition with his omnipotent dad, and there’s likely a very strategic storyline reason for that. Because once Bill finds out that Liam is dying, everything is going to change big time.

Saving Liam
Bill’s never been a man to take no for an answer or accept the status quo. He’s someone who fights for what he wants and is accustomed to getting it at any cost.
So, once Bill learns about Liam’s death sentence, it will surely be the ultimate challenge for him. He’ll move heaven and earth to find a way to help his son. He’ll use his billions and resources to track down the world’s most respected specialists and talented surgeons. He’ll seek out the latest state-of-the-art treatments to save Liam.
And, knowing Bill Spencer, if anyone can bring Liam back from the brink of death, it’s him.
