That’s what Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) wondered on Monday’s episode. He couldn’t believe what he had just heard. Hope offered Liam (Scott Clifton) her heart. Carter thought they were a sure thing. They discussed the idea of getting back together. How could she do this to him?

Daphne (Murielle Hilaire) found herself in the right place at the right time. She followed Carter back to his place and consoled his broken heart. This played right into her hands. She could finally convince Carter that she’s the one he should be with. But does she really want him? Carter wants a woman with whom he could have a future. He confessed that he wants marriage and kids.
Daphne is the most successful woman in Paris. She’s not the type to slow down and fall in love. Yet, she’s head over heels in love with Carter. Can she provide him with everything he needs? Or will he convince himself that he’s meant to be with Hope? (Is Carter in love, or is he delusional?)
Good News & Bad News
There’s good news and bad news for Hope and Liam today. The exes found themselves at opposite ends of the drama. Hope got a surprise visit from Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). The two finally made amends for the sake of Liam. Then, in a shocking twist, Steffy offered Hope her former position at Forrester Creations. Hope was grateful and wanted to put the FC shakeup behind them. Steffy won’t forget what Hope did, but she was willing to move forward.

Liam didn’t get the news he expected. He showed up for his appointment at the doctor’s office. Finn (Tanner Novlan) ran more tests to see if Liam’s prognosis had changed. Unfortunately, the results are the same. Liam’s life flashed before his eyes. Suddenly, he couldn’t hear what Finn was saying. All he could focus on was his impending death.
