Daddy-Daughter Dance
Monday’s episode revolved around Liam’s (Scott Clifton) worsening condition. Who knew that a bump on the head would lead to a grim diagnosis? He missed the daddy-daughter dance as Grace (Cassandra Creech) and Bridget (Ashley Jones) discovered he had a mass on his brain. Liam is the last to know about his condition.
Meanwhile, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) learned that something was wrong. She watched Liam dance with Kelly (Sophia Paras McKinlay), as she was overcome with emotion. What didn’t help was that she got a text from Finn (Tanner Novlan) hinting about Liam’s condition. When the two hugged, Steffy broke down in tears.
Kelly wanted to know what was wrong. Her mom told her that she was happy to see that her daughter was happy. She noticed that it was a special night. Kelly asked her father for another dance, but he told her that he needed to rest. Liam told Kelly that it was her bedtime anyway.

Conditions Grow
Meanwhile, Grace and Bridget were in disbelief over Liam’s condition. Finn learned that Liam was terminal. Bridget was especially concerned about Liam leaving the hospital. She warned Finn that Liam needs to come back. The doctors were relieved that Liam wasn’t driving. Finn returned home to Steffy.
Later in the episode, Liam put Kelly to bed. He struggled to remove the stuffed animals from the bed. Kelly asked for a story. Liam tried to read a story about Professor Frog, but his blurry vision prevented him. Kelly realized something was wrong with her dad.
Meanwhile, Steffy learned about Liam’s terminal illness downstairs. She wanted to know if the mass was as bad as it sounded. Finn apologized for sharing this news by text, but wanted her to know. He warned Steffy that Liam needed to be back in the hospital. Unfortunately, there’s no cure for Liam’s condition. That’s when Finn told Steffy that Liam was dying.
