Naomi Matsuda is a powerhouse. She puts energy and fire into every scene that we’re always left wondering what Dr. Li Finnegan is going to do next, especially when it comes to Luna. It’s obvious that she’s devoted to her family. However, it’s time for Li to become a leading lady on The Bold and the Beautiful. Here are four reasons why.
Li Cares About Family
B&B is about complicated family relationships. No matter what happens, at the end of the day, they always love each other, even if they don’t always see eye-to-eye. The same can be said about Li. She loves her family and is committed to them. Even her sister, Poppy (Romy Park), with whom she often goes toe to toe.
Right now, she wants to save Luna’s (Lisa Yamada) life, so she’s been given a second chance. However, this could cause trouble for her relationship with Finn (Tanner Novlan) and could cause her to lose her medical license. This shows the lengths that Li would go through to save a loved one’s life.

Dr. Finnegan a Complex Character
Li believes she’s a good person, but we would say she’s more of a complex character. She has a mix of good and bad traits. Her devotion to her family causes her to blur the lines of medical ethics. How many times has she hidden a family member who was presumed dead? And, there was also that mix-up about her ex being Luna’s biological father. But behind that tough exterior, Li has a heart of gold. It just takes time for her to warm up.
Brooke & Li Deserve Love
Right now, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) is stealing the spotlight for her romantic history with Nick (Jack Wagner) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). Seeing this play out makes us wonder what it would be like to see two men fight over Li. She still has chemistry with Bill (Don Diamont), even when she’s upset with him for the Loony Luna situation. Maybe her ex-husband, Jack (Ted King), could come back to Los Angeles and try to win her back again. We’d love to see Jack and Bill fight for Li’s affection. If anyone deserves love, it’s Li. Maybe a steamy love story could do her some good and soften her.

Li always captivates fans, no matter what she’s up to. It’s time for the spotlight to shine on her. Her son, Finn (Tanner Novlan), became a leading man thanks to his solid marriage to Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). B&B fans love watching “Sinn” defy all the odds. The same could happen with his mother. She already has her family and a hot career in Los Angeles. All she needs is a good-looking man on her arm.
