Deacon is the last to know about Hope’s engagement news. She said yes to Carter on The Bold and the Beautiful. But, as we know, Carter and Deacon didn’t get along. So, how will he react to this news? And how will it affect his relationship with his daughter?
Complicated History
At first, Deacon (Sean Kanan) loved the idea of “Cope.” He was glad that there was someone at Forrester Creations who was rooting for his daughter. Hope (Annika Noelle) needed someone on her side, especially when her voice wasn’t being heard. Her friendship with Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) became a passionate love affair that was corrupted by a lust for power.

Their need to get revenge on the Forresters became a sick obsession. Suddenly, it wasn’t fun anymore. Carter wanted off the ride, but Hope didn’t want to give up. She told him that he deserved to be at the top of the corporate ladder. But having all the power wasn’t what it seemed, especially when he lost his friend.
Carter double-crossed Hope by giving back the company. Also, he exchanged a few kisses with Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire). To Hope, this felt like the ultimate betrayal. Suddenly, she found herself without a job. During this time, she reconciled her relationship with her father Deacon (Sean Kanan), who had no problem kicking Carter’s butt.

Changed Dynamics
Hope and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) were in a fragile state. Their mother-daughter bond changed when Hope nearly slapped her. Hope felt that Brooke was also betraying her. So, she needed someone else on her side when no one else was there for her.
But the dynamics have since changed. Hope and Brooke are on good terms again. Brooke already gave Carter and Hope her blessing. However, Deacon will feel differently. Once again, this will put a wedge in his relationship with his daughter. We are curious to see Deacon’s reaction. He’s definitely not going to keep his feelings to himself.
