How Thomas Forrester Could Lose His Son Douglas on B&B

Just how much more can Thomas Forrester lose on The Bold and the Beautiful? He’s persona non grata with pretty much everyone on the canvas now that Thomas has been exposed as the person who called Child Protective Services on himself! But the show might be planning to take even more away from Thomas in light of a recent remark made during a big fight.

Thomas Forrester – Father’s Daze

Hope Logan Forrester (Annika Noelle) recently blasted Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) during an argument at Forrester Creations. She held him accountable for his lies, pointing out that once again, he’d put Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri), his son, in the middle of his machinations. Hope angrily wondered how Thomas and Douglas could even be related as the boy is so honest. That line reminded us of Douglas’s origins, and they were complicated, to say the least!

How Douglas Came to Be On B&B

Caroline Spencer (Linsey Godfrey) was on the outs with love interest Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) when the two couldn’t decide whether or not they’d have children. She wanted to; he didn’t. Then, Caroline and Thomas had an unplanned romp after she, unbeknownst to him, took some of Pam Douglas’s anti-anxiety pills. Caroline was thrilled when Ridge wanted to reunite, so she put her one night with Thomas in the past.

Ridge and Caroline wed, and the bride soon discovered that she was pregnant. Ridge, however, couldn’t be the father because he’d had a vasectomy. Initially, the two kept secret from Thomas that he was the father. (Maybe this is where Thomas learned to be so sneaky?) Later, he learned that Douglas was his son.

The whole mess took on additional problems when Ridge’s physician, Dr. Wolin, blackmailed Ridge over his vasectomy. But he was killed in a hit-and-run before he could make good on his threat to expose the truth. What else might the bad doctor have been lying about?

Thomas Forrester – You Are NOT the Father

If soap fans have learned nothing else from powerful moguls like Victor Newman on The Young and the Restless and Richard Channing on Falcon Crest, it’s that vasectomies simply don’t always take! Suppose B&B reveals that Ridge actually is Douglas’s father? Thomas would be in for the fight of his life against not only Hope but also Ridge should either or both of them decide that Thomas should be stripped of his legal rights.

The B&B Single Life

Thomas losing his son could push him over the edge. We could imagine him leaving the family and going off to start his own fashion house. Of course, Thomas hasn’t been the most supportive father in the world. He’s tried to manipulate Douglas in more than one storyline.

However, Douglas helped turn Thomas around and told him that he was a good guy at a time when Thomas needed to hear it the most. While it might not be the worst thing in the world for Douglas to live with someone else other than Thomas, we can’t help but think that it wouldn’t be great for Thomas to lose his son.
