Here’s Who Might Get Nominated from Bold and the Beautiful for the 51st Daytime Emmys

Bold and the Beautiful walked off with top acting honors last year with Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, who plays Steffy, winning her third Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress and Thorsten Kaye, who plays Ridge, winning his first for Outstanding Lead Actor. How might B&B fare at this year’s awards coming up in June? Soap Hub is doing some speculating on this very topic!

And the Emmy Goes To…

Soap Hub honored numerous performances from B&B last year with our Performer of the Week feature. While nobody can predict with 100% accuracy who’ll get a nod this year, Soap Hub is looking back at some of the finest work done on B&B in 2023, which may indicate who’ll be going for the gold this June when the 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards are broadcast on CBS.

Outstanding Lead or Supporting Actress: Sometimes performers with lead story potential might toss their hat into the supporting ring. So, either actress category could contain the following: Kimberlin Brown (Sheila), Annika Noelle (Hope), and Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke).

It’s likely that Wood will once again submit in the lead category. We know one thing for sure. If Wood continues the tradition of hosting a luncheon for this year’s nominees, started by her TV grandmother Susan Flannery (Stephanie) years ago, the gathering will be as fabulous as the women attending it!

A strong candidate for the Supporting category is Heather Tom (Katie). In early 2023, Katie and Sheila had a showdown in Eric’s office that was powerful; Tom also delivered as Katie pleaded with Bill (Don Diamont) not to back Sheila.

Outstanding Lead Actor or Outstanding Supporting Actor: We feel this is John McCook’s to lose. The Bold and the Beautiful actor is due for his bookend Daytime Emmy for his performance in the Eric might be dying (but thank goodness he didn’t) story. The tale brought together nearly the entire cast, and McCook dove into the material with dignity, passion, and strength.

The Younger Actor category has been dissolved but that doesn’t mean Henry Joseph Samiri can’t score a nod for his portrayal of Douglas in the Supporting category. Douglas broke our hearts when he chose Steffy over Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) or Hope to raise him. Sean Kanan (Deacon) and Tanner Novlan (Finn) weren’t strangers to our Performer of the Week feature last year either. Deacon makes us believe that there’s more to Sheila than a homicidal killer; Finn reminds us that that should never be forgotten — even though he has a fondness for his birth mom.

Who do you think should be nominated for a Daytime Emmy from Bold and the Beautiful this year? Sound off in the comments below. The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards are set to air on Friday, June 7 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on CBS.
