Ridge is happily committed to Taylor on The Bold and the Beautiful, and he proved that by putting a ring on it. Yet fans can’t stop thinking about the time he was with Caroline Jr. In fact, some of them believe they had the best chemistry.
A Look Back
Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Caroline Spencer Jr. (Lindsey Godfrey) had a controversial relationship on B&B. Caroline was Karen’s (Joanna Johnson) daughter and Bill’s (Don Diamont) niece. She was also romantically interested in Ridge’s son, Thomas (ex-Pierson Fodé). But there were apparent sparks between her and Ridge. Their relationship was described as passionate and traffic.

Some B&B fans consider Caroline the love of Ridge’s life. The two got engaged. Although their romance was complicated, their bond was profound, deeper than Ridge’s connection with Taylor (Rebecca Budig). Unsurprisingly, Ridge couldn’t stay faithful to Caroline. She tragically passed away from leukemia, which could’ve left a hole in Ridge’s heart. Now, he’s been trying to fill that hole by waffling back and forth between Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Taylor.
Sizzling Chemistry
B&B fans are having a dose of nostalgia. They can’t stop buzzing about Ridge’s relationship with Caroline Jr. This has been brought up a lot on social media and the soap message boards. One fan wrote, “Maybe an unpopular opinion, but wish we could have kept Ridge and Caroline 2.0. Ridge and Caroline 2.0 were cute yet sexy and epic.” One fan responded, “Love Cridge 2.0.” Another user chimed in, writing, “ITA. I didn’t like how the writers ended Ridge-Caroline II so rushed.”
Ridge and Caroline’s romance was even mentioned on Reddit. One Redditor shared a screenshot from an old episode that showed Caroline and Ridge together. The thread reads, “I miss Ridge and Caroline Jr…” Memories flooded back to the fan’s eyes. “This old episode is airing live currently. Ridge and Caroline are celebrating their off-screen wedding.”

Other fans took to the thread to share their thoughts. “I miss Caroline altogether,” one user mourned the character’s loss. Another fan echoed the previous fan’s statements, adding, “I miss Caroline. She was a great, funny character, and the actress was fabulous. It’s annoying that they killed her off.” A third disappointed respondent said, “They shouldn’t have killed her. I never understood why.”
