Ridge is waffling once again. Back in Italy, he promised Brooke that he would make things right. Now that they’re back home from Los Angeles, he acts like he wants nothing to do with her. Ridge’s sudden about-face has us wondering whether he lied to her on The Bold and the Beautiful.
What Happened In Capri?
Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) was chasing Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) like a lost puppy. He didn’t like seeing her happy with Nick (Jack Wagner), who was trying to win over her heart. However, her heart remained with Ridge. Nick came up with this grandiose plan to propose. First, he wanted to take her on a romantic boat ride, which ended in horror.
Brooke was in the back of the boat as it crashed. Ridge was there, watching everything go down. He anxiously dove into the waters in an attempt to save her life. That’s when he realized he couldn’t live without her. Then, he kissed Brooke and promised her that he would make everything right.
Jealousy, Jealousy
Ever since they returned home, Ridge’s whole demeanor has changed. Ridge acts like he’s annoyed with Brooke and her begging, yet that hasn’t stopped him from allowing her to hug him. Even Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) had questions about their relationship, and rightfully so. He’s aware that his dad is a chronic waffler.
So, what gives? Did Ridge lie to Brooke? Did he only want her because another man was after her? Nick left too soon. Brooke made a mistake by turning down his proposal. She admitted that some part of her still loves Nick. She should’ve accepted his proposal just to see Ridge’s reaction.
Maybe he would act faster than he is now to win over her heart. Because he’s not doing anything to make things right. First, Ridge needs to tell Taylor (Rebecca Budig) the truth about what happened.
