Li’s Dark Secret
On the Tuesday, July 29 episode of B&B, Finn (Tanner Novlan) noticed his mom walking around with a box. She looked like she was about to quit her job. Li (Naomi Matsuda) held onto a box of things from her office. She informed Finn that she was taking a leave of absence, similar to what Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) did.

Finn looked at his mom in disbelief. She’s not the type to take time off from work. Li maintained that she wanted to take a break to process everything that happened. She’ll find get some sleep or read a good book. Later in the episode, the truth was revealed. Li was keeping Luna (Lisa Yamada) alive in an apartment. She wanted to give her a second chance.
More Sinn Angst?
This show is setting up more trouble for Sinn. Steffy went on a break to process everything that happened. She brought Hayes (Bryan David Garlick) and Kelly (Sophia Paras McKinlay) with her, so Finn’s hands won’t be so tied with work and home life. He’ll likely want to find out what his mom is doing on her extended break from work.

Li believes that Luna deserves a second chance. She wants to know what Finn thinks of his daughter’s death, but he believes that she met her own fate. Li is taking Luna’s life into her own hands. She wants to raise Luna so she can finally be the good girl she was meant to be—the good girl Li remembered her as as a little girl.
However, Li’s dark secret could keep Steffy away from town even longer. She’s not going to want to be around once she finds out that Luna is still alive. But what if Luna does wake up and turns into a new person? Loony Luna might be dead. Seeing a change in Luna might make Finn want to get to know his daughter, which will mess with his marriage.
