When it comes to The Bold and the Beautiful, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days, we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of B&B’s week that was.
I’m a fan of farce, and The Bold and the Beautiful, arguably the most farcical of the four remaining daytime dramas (barring yet another repossession on DAYS), delivered it in spades this week, what with those bedroom antics – Quinn Fuller Forrester (Rena Sofer) and Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) mistook Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) getting Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) engine running for a heart attack – and Quinn racing to stop Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Paris Buckingham’s (Diamond White) wedding with all the grace of Jacques Tati’s Monsieur Hulot.
To (only slightly) misquote Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), whose presence at the ceremony was, in and of itself highly amusing, “This was good!”
That being said, want I’m not looking forward to is a full week of Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) saying, “I told you so.” Unless it comes with a dance-like what Bobbi Adler had.
* You know, despite the story being a rush job and a half, Eric and Quinn’s parting of the ways was masterfully written and acted. It’s too bad that half the dialogue said on Tuesday’s episode had to be repeated almost verbatim at the top of Wednesday’s episode.
* Who looked the most uncomfortable sitting in the audience at the wedding that wasn’t? I’d say it was a dead heat between Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle), who seemed as taken by surprise that she was suddenly Paris’s bestie as I was, and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) whose hypocrisy is reaching epic proportions.
