A Critic’s Review Of The Bold and the Beautiful: French Farce & Concocted Solution

When it comes to The Bold and the Beautiful, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days, we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of B&B’s week that was.

The Bold and the Beautiful: The Critic’s POV

So…Katie (Heather Tom) slaps the bejesus out of Bill (Don Diamont) then makes up for it with one hell of a kiss and The Bold and the Beautiful is just going to gloss right over that?

Also, following Sheila’s (Kimberlin Brown) massive heart attack and back-to-back flatlines all we’re going to be given are some off-handed comments about her being in police custody. Really?!

Apparently so, because, despite not sending out a memo to prepare us, it appears B&B has decided that its focus will now be on Hope’s (Annika Noelle) out of nowhere longing for Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) and the destiny betwixt Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) that won’t be denied. Taylor (Krista Allen) who?

Speaking of “Braylor”, is anybody else getting the distinct impression that the soap was out and out trolling us viewers what with dropping the would-be couple’s moniker and having Ridge inquire as to whether anything *ahem* developed between the two of them while he was away?

Further B&B Musings

* I love a French sex farce as much as the next cineaste, but B&B’s attempts at replicating one on Friday really missed the mark. “Ooooooops! You caught me in my shortest blue teddy!” “Ooooooops! There goes my robe right off my shoulders!” Pffft.

* You mean to tell me that chemistry wiz Brooke Logan, she who concocted a solution (BeLieF) that has made all clothing sold by Forrester Creations wrinkle-free since the early 90s, can’t prepare a few simple dishes? Isn’t cooking merely chemistry in and of itself? Don’t some even refer to it as a science?

Oh, right, I guess it’s supposed to be “rolling on the floor” hilarious that the pretty, smart blonde doesn’t know her way around the kitchen. Huff. This dang show, got me cutting for the likes of Brooke. I don’t like it…not one bit!
