Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of our Lives (DAYS), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Soap Opera Casting for the week of March 20, 2023
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas.
General Hospital
A fan favorite is heading back to General Hospital. Emma Samms will be back for another run as Holly Sutton. The character last appeared in December of 2022, when she, Robert (Tristan Rogers), and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) staged her fiery exit from the soap opera, so she could leave town and escape Victor’s (Charles Shaughnessy) clutches.
Actress Yvette Nicole Brown is set to make a guest appearance on GH’s tribute episode to the late Sonya Eddy and her character, Epiphany Johnson. Brown and Eddy were real-life friends.
Days of our Lives
Steve Burton returns to Days of our Lives as Harris Michaels on Monday, March 20. The actor originated the character in 1988, resurrecting him on the Peacock special Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem 2 in 2022. He’ll share scenes with Kristian Alfonso’s Hope.
Ashley Lauren Nedd portrays a mystery woman named Rose, this week. She’ll interact with Alfonso and Burton.
On the exit front, Linsey Godfrey and Kyle Lowder exited the soap opera as Sarah Horton and Rex Brady. The pair headed to Chicago, where a pregnant Sarah agreed to take a new job.
The Bold and the Beautiful
Patrick Duffy is back on The Bold and the Beautiful scene as Stephen Logan, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Donna (Jennifer Gareis), and Katie’s (Heather Tom) father. He’ll air on Wednesday, March 22, and Thursday, March 23.
Linda Purl, Duffy’s real-life partner, will be back by his side as Lucy, Stephen’s girlfriend. She’ll also appear on Wednesday and Thursday, March 22 and 23.
Hollis W. Chambers returns as Hollis. Look for the Il Giardino waiter to surface on Thursday, March 23.
Alexis Gaube of The Price is Right pops in as Petra, the Forrester Creations model. She’ll air on Tuesday, March 21.
The Young and the Restless
A couple more stars from yesteryear return to Genoa City this week as part of The Young and the Restless’ anniversary celebration. Barbara Crampton resurfaces as Leanna Love, a gossip reporter and ex-wife of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). She made her last appearance on the soap opera in 2007.
Veronica Redd pays a visit to the Abbott clan as Mamie Johnson, the family’s beloved former housekeeper, She was last on screen in 2004.
