Soap Opera Casting For The Week of May 29, 2023

Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles.

Days of our Lives

Linsey Godfrey is back as Days of our Lives’ Sarah Horton. Maggie Kiriakis’s (Suzanne Rogers) daughter, who split town last March, after learning she was pregnant with Xander Cook’s (Paul Telfer) child, airs on Tuesday, May 30. Look for Sarah to turn up in Chicago, where she has been living with Rex Brady.

In addition, Kyle Lowder returns to the soap opera as Rex, also appearing on Tuesday, May 30.  Lowder and Godfrey will share scenes with Judi Evans’ Bonnie Lockhart when she pays Rex a visit.

Kim Coles appears as Nurse Whitley on Wednesday, May 31. She’ll interact with James Reynolds’ Abe Carver and Jasper Newman’s Colin Peterson in scenes at Salem University Hospital. Coles is best known for her role as Synclaire on Living Single

General Hospital

The late Victor Cassadine makes an appearance on General Hospital this week. Charles Shaughnessy reprises his role as the premiere villain in a few scenes regarding the reading of his character’s will.

Meanwhile, Alan Brooks is playing Victor’s lawyer, Mr. Brown. The veteran actor has an array of credits, including guest spots on American Horror Story, Dirty John, and 9-1-1. He also portrayed FBI Agent Robert Boynton on Port Charles in 1997.

Gavin Houston pops in as Zeke Robinson, Portia’s (Brooke Kerr) brother. The character was last seen on the soap opera in February when he attended Portia Robinson and Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) wedding.

Jeff Griggs has been playing ISA Agent Hursley. Griggs is no stranger to daytime. He portrayed Jude St. Clair on Days of our Lives from 1995 to 1996.

The Young and the Restless

Lily Brooks O’Briant has wrapped her latest visit as Lucy Romalotti on The Young and the Restless. The teenager returned to Portugal to live with her mother, Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom). Word is that Daniel Romalotti’s (Michael Graziadei) teen daughter will be returning to the soap opera for another visit soon.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Dick Christie is back on guard as Forrester Creations’ security chief on The Bold and the Beautiful. The actor begins airing for a few episodes as Charlie Webber on Tuesday, May 30.
