Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless?
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles.
The next Forrester Creations fashion show will have some big guests in attendance. Singer-actress Marie Osmond has booked a short-term stint on The Bold and the Beautiful. She’s set to play Countess Von Frankfurt and begin airing later this month.
Also attending the big Ridge vs. Eric showdown will be two stars from The Young and the Restless. Tracey Bregman and Kate Linder will be making crossover appearances as Lauren Fenmore and Esther Valentine, respectively.
Hollis W. Chambers pops back as Hollis, the Il Giardino bartender on Thursday, October 19, and Friday, October 20. He’ll interact with Kimberlin Brown’s Sheila.
Justiin Davis returns as Dr. Colin Colby. Eric’s (John McCook) medico airs on Tuesday, October 17, and Wednesday, October 18.
Checking in on the medical front, Gabriella Tranchina portrays Nurse Tina. She appears on Friday, October 20.
Two Stateville prisoners are resurfacing on Days of our Lives. Bryan Dattilo returns for another story arc as Lucas Horton on Tuesday, October 17. The character’s last appearance was in February.
James Read is also back as villain Clyde Weston. The character, who was convicted of murdering Abigail and sent to the slammer in September 2022, begins wreaking havoc again on Monday, October 16.
John Kapelos returns as Konstantin on Friday, October 20. He’ll share scenes with Linsey Godfrey’s Sarah and Suzanne Rogers’ Maggie.
James Simenc appears as a hospital patient on Monday, October 16. He’ll interact with Lucas Adams’ Tripp.
On the exit front, Aketra Sevillian bids farewell to Salem as Talia Hunter on Tuesday, October 17. The character is moving back to California.
Brandon Beemer is out as Shawn Brady. The character decided to leave town to address his drinking problem.
Meanwhile, Jen Lilley has departed as Theresa Donovan. Taking over the role is Emily O’Brien, who was last seen as Gwen Rizczech.
Louise Sorel’s quick return as Vivian Alamain is also over. The character went on the lam to avoid facing charges for shooting Peter Porte’s Dimitri.
Réal Andrews took to Instagram to address fans’ inquiries about his status with General Hospital. His character, Marcus Taggert, has been MIA since learning Trina is Curtis’ biological and having a major meltdown.
Via a video message, Andrews noted that he was “really, really good with it.” That “it” being whether or not he returns to the soap. “I cannot be and have no desire to be concerned about… when I’m working or why I’m not working…” said the actor. “All I can control is what I can control, and that’s that when I am called, I am ready and I show up with excellence.”
Patricia Grossman, mother of Mark Grossman, who plays Adam Newman, is popping in to make a small guest appearance on The Young and the Restless. She’ll play a customer at Crimson Lights later this month. Stay tuned for more information.
