Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of our Lives (DAYS), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles.
A popular leading man is back on the Genoa City canvas. Michael Graziadei returns to The Young and the Restless as Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Danny Romalotti’s (Michael Damian) son, Daniel Romalotti, on Monday, November 21. The actor, who made his last appearance in 2016, has inked a contract with the soap opera and is back full-time.
Meanwhile, Mishael Morgan is out as Amanda Sinclair. Morgan decided not to re-sign with the soap, so her character has been sent to Virginia to be with her mother, Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey), who is hospitalized.
The Logan family patriarch is returning to The Bold and the Beautiful. Patrick Duffy begins a short stint as Stephen Logan on Wednesday, November 23. He initially played the role on the soap opera from 2006 to 2011.
Joining Duffy will be his real-life girlfriend Linda Purl, who’s portraying Stephen’s significant other, Lucy. The daytime vet, who played Doreen on The Secret Storm (1973 to 1974) and, most recently, Mrs. Honeycutt on General Hospital (2022), also airs on Wednesday, November 23.
Henry Joseph Samiri gets more screen time as Douglas Forrester. The kid is once again playing a key role in a major storyline.
Richard Wharton is back for another run as Dr. Rolf on Days of our Lives. He’ll start airing on Tuesday, November 22 in scenes with Victoria Grace’s Wendy Shin and Carson Boatman’s Johnny DiMera.
Chuck Saculla portrays a firefighter on Tuesday, November 22. He’ll share explosive scenes with Dan Feuerriegel’s EJ DiMera and Galen Gering’s Rafe Hernandez.
A familiar face has stepped in as Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital. Adam Huss has been subbing for Marcus Coloma, who came down with COVID a month ago and had to be temporarily replaced. It’s not the first time Huss has played the Cassadine prince. He previously played Nikolas on the soap opera for an episode in September 2021.
Sharon Omi appears as Dr. Talone, this week. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) will meet with the medical expert to get her take on Britt’s condition. The character had previously been diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease.
B&B is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives (DOOL), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR). The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
