Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless?

Soap Opera Casting For The Week of December 25, 2023

Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles.

General Hospital

Eight months after actress Jacklyn Zeman’s passing, GH will finally be addressing her character Bobbie Spencer’s death in scenes to air in January.  A few stars from the past are scheduled to be on hand for the memorial service, including Ryan Carnes, who played Bobbie’s son, Lucas Jones.

Fresh off her Daytime Emmy victory for Guest Performer in a Drama Series, Alley Mills is popping onto the Port Charles scene as Heather Webber. Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) will visit her estranged mother in prison on Friday, December 29.

Eden McCoy, whose mother passed away in November, has taken a temporary leave of absence from her role as Josslyn Jacks. Courtney Fulk has stepped in to replace her. Fulk started airing on December 18.

That was Samiramia Izadifar playing fertility specialist Dr. Belson. She appeared in scenes with Kristen Vaganos’s Molly and Tajh Bellow’s TJ.

Days of our Lives

AnnaLynne McCord has signed a one-year contract role with the show. The actress, who played Naomi Clark on The CW’s 90201 and Eden Lord on Nip/Tuck, has been cast as Marin, a complicated and beautiful woman whose heart belongs to one man, who continues to push her away. She won’t begin airing until mid-2024.

The Bold and the Beautiful

One of the good guys is returning! Adain Bradley resurfaces as Xander Avant on Thursday, December 28. The character split town in August of 2019, when Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) threatened his life after Xander set out to prove that he caused Emma’s (Nia Sioux ) fatal car crash.

The Young and the Restless

The man behind The Clarence Update, which provided highlights of the CBS soap lineup back in the ‘90s, is back. Brad Sanders pops in and pays a holiday visit to The Young and the Restless on Wednesday, December 27.

Colleen Zenk is back as the evil Jordan on Tuesday, December 26. She’ll share explosive confrontation scenes with Melody Thomas Scott’s Nikki.
