Supercouples in daytime television aren’t restricted to merely on-screen duos. The Bold and the Beautiful star Don Diamont is part of one off-screen with wife Cindy Ambuehl. The actress-turned-high-powered-realtor has a soap past of her own.
Don Diamont Celebrates
“It could not have been a more perfect anniversary dinner!” Diamont shared in an Instagram post featuring a fabulous photo of the happy couple. “When we met it was truly love at first sight, and that feeling has never left me. Not for a moment! I really am the luckiest man alive! I love you @cindyambuehl ‼️ Forever and Always!!!” Diamont added three heart emojis to his post to emphasize his point!
“I’m the lucky one,” Ambuehl wrote in the post’s comments section. She’s known for her appearances on Seinfeld, JAG, Ally McBeal, Pacific Blue, Silk Stalkings, and many other shows.
Just how did the pair meet? Way back in 1995, Brenda Epperson announced that she was vacating the role of Ashley on The Young and the Restless. The show screen-tested actresses to assume the role of the beautiful chemist and Ambuehl was one of the Ashley contenders. The role, as veteran fans recall, went to Shari Shattuck, who was, at the time, married to Ronn Moss (ex-Ridge, BB).

Ambuehl read on camera opposite both Peter Bergman (Jack, YR) and Diamont, who was playing Brad on the hour-long soap opera. She may not have won the role, however, years later, she and Diamont began seeing each other and got engaged. The couple tied the knot in 2012. Diamont made the jump from YR to BB after Brad met an icy end trying to save Noah from drowning.
Diamont created the role of media mogul “Dollar” Bill Spencer, head of Spencer Publications. Ambuehl is no stranger to BB herself. In 1996, she appeared as Kim for about six months in a storyline with Dan McVicar’s Clarke. The designer had gotten mixed up with some shady folks at Unicorn Fashions, a rival to Spectra Fashions. Kim was the girlfriend of Unicorn’s top boss.
