The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Wednesday, January 8, 2020, features Thomas showing his true colors, Liam taking a strong stance, and Hope coming close to losing the life she dreamed of all these years.
The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights
Liam’s (Scott Clifton) shocking ultimatum unsettled Hope (Annika Noelle) and she begged him to reconsider. Unfortunately, Liam’s point was proven when Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) and Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) came through the door uninvited and unannounced. Hope was thrilled to have the distraction and took Douglas in the other room to see Beth.
Another Fight
Thomas was overjoyed to see Hope wasn’t flashing the ring. He and Liam and it out and things got physical. Liam reached his breaking point with Thomas and pushed him. (No cliffs? No vats of acid?)
To his credit, Thomas kept his hands to himself but clearly only because he had an agenda. Hope calmed things down by bringing Douglas back into the room, handing him to Thomas, and telling him to put their son to bed.
Liam Meant What He Said
Hope then tried to work her magic on Liam. She professed her love, asked him to work with her when it comes to Douglas, and promised to lay down better boundaries with Thomas. It wasn’t enough. Liam wasn’t compromising. It was him or Douglas and that’s that.
Hope’s indecisiveness broke Liam and he ended up walking away. He stormed out of the house and didn’t even look back.
Steffy Considered Her Future
Meanwhile, over at the cliff house, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) pushed Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to reach for the stars. And, by stars, he meant Liam. Brooke is his destiny and Liam is hers and it’s time they both live their truths.
Steffy claimed to not be about that life but her dad’s speech did hit her hard. She loves Liam and always will. Maybe it is time to fight back. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
