Who says The Bold and the Beautiful only needs one primary antagonist just because it’s a half-hour show? Executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell decided that there could be two villains on at the same time so, on the heels of bringing back Sheila Carter, he’s reintroduced Hope’s pop Deacon Sharpe!
The Bold and the Beautiful Has Double Trouble
Kudos to B&B for not only adding Deacon (Sean Kanan) back into the mix but also pairing Hope’s (Annika Noelle) dad and Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) together by having them meet at Sheila’s old stomping grounds Il Gardino. They sat at the bar and took a minute to realize who each other was, given that it’s been a bit of time since they last on the canvas.
Sheila hit the ground running upon her return. She introduced herself to her biological son Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), crashed his and Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) wedding reception, and manipulated Finn by faking the sick mother routine. But she’s hit a roadblock from getting closer to her son thanks to Steffy her daughter-in-law. Likewise, Deacon got tossed out of his daughter Hope’s house after he arrived there hoping to spend time with her.
The Bad and the Bold and the Beautiful
Sheila and Deacon cleared the air about Deacon trying to shift the blame onto her for the literal shots that were taken at Quinn Fuller Forrester (Rena Sofer) four years ago. While we still can’t believe Sheila’s 100% innocent in all that – come on, it’s Sheila, after all – Deacon shrugged it off, figuring it’s time to move on from all that.
“I’m a Boy Scout compared to you,” Deacon scoffed at Sheila. “Look, the Forresters might dislike me. They despise you. You’re like number one on their enemy list.”
Sheila, of course, can give as good as she gets and asked Deacon if someone was going to come to the bar and haul his sorry butt back to prison. Even though The Bold and the Beautiful’s Deacon knows he’s out of the slammer free and clear, he took a look at the establishment’s entrance just to be sure he’d be able to finish his drink!
Sheila and Deacon bonded over the fact that the Forresters are keeping them from their respective children, Finn and Hope. “Forresters! They’re so high and mighty,” groused Deacon. Sheila added, “It’s like they’ve never done anything wrong in their privileged lives!”
Sheila And Deacon V. The World
“Are you kidding me?” marveled Deacon. “They’ve had more scandals than everybody in this place combined,” Sheila suggested to Deacon that they team up so that they can both get what they want, telling him he should be flattered that she even considered him!
Deacon’s immediate reaction was to steer clear of Sheila. “You need me, Deacon,” Sheila implored. “Like a hole in the head,” Deacon retorted. “We are going to see our children,” Sheila proclaimed. “The Forresters don’t stand a chance with the two of us together. They don’t stand a chance!”
However, the two things they have to watch out for are turning on each other because payback will be significant and they might also do well not to fall for each other either. An unlikely romance could turn the duo’s plans sideways. Kudos to B&B for setting the stage for the future. Halloween may be a few weeks away but the show has set it up so that two very scary villains are about to start playing some tricks on Hope, Liam, the Forresters, and the Finnegans!
