On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Bill Spencer proposes marriage to Sheila — but fear not, it’s a part of his diabolical, genius plan to trap her.
Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights
In addition, Stephen (Patrick Duffy) and Lucy (Linda Pearl) stopped by to support Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and get lapsed viewers up to speed, while Hope (Annika Noell) worked to assure Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) that she had NO romantic interest in Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) whatsoever. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Bill Spencer Gives It His All
Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) wasn’t exactly pleased to find Bill (Don Diamont) hanging around their secretive, FBI-funded outpost, but his partner-in-scheme had news that he had to impart. He’s hit upon a surefire way to get Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) to open up to him once and for all: get down on one knee and pop the question!
Ridge was incredulous, but Bill had a point. What says forevermore but a marriage proposal? If Sheila finally feels safe and secure in her relationship with Bill, surely that will embolden her to confess her deepest, darkest sins. Right? Right?

To that end, Bill scurried back home and greeted his prey with a smile, open arms, and copious amounts of praise. He thanked her for bringing him out of himself and making him feel safe and understood. And though he still copped to times when he can seem withdrawn, he mentions how Sheila and Sheila alone has made him comfortable in opening up about his various misdeeds.
Bill insisted that he wants the same for Sheila — for her to feel that she can be honest and truthful with him. “I don’t want there to be any barriers between us,” he explained, adding, “I want you to be able to talk to me about anything and know that I’m not going to judge you. You can express whatever it might be about your past, and I will never leave you. My commitment is 100%.”
After declaring that Sheila was the kind who much preferred actions over words, Bill produced a stunning engagement ring and asked her to agree to become Mrs. Bill Spencer.
Opposite this, Ridge — who’d decided that Sheila Spencer actually does have a nice ring to it — and Agent Chen awaited Sheila’s response on tenterhooks.
B&B Recap: In Case You Missed It
Stephen and Lucy are “heading up North” but detoured to visit with Brooke and marvel at all the recent goings on. There was Ridge and Taylor’s (Krista Allen) wedding that wasn’t — thanks entirely to Thomas’s machinations. And Brooke and Taylor choosing to bury the hatchet, become good buddies, and choose themselves over Ridge. It truly is a “new dawn” as Lucy so succinctly put it.
But Stephen was curious as to how Ridge felt about all this — and that was something that Brooke couldn’t answer. Intent on finding out for himself, as well as needing to get something off his chest, Stephen phoned Ridge and attempted to give him one heck of a hard time…but Ridge was far too busy. He didn’t want it to seem like he was blowing off his former father-in-law, but….yeah, he was blowing his former father-in-law off.
When Stephen went on a rant as a result, Brooke attempted to calm him by reiterating something that Ridge had told her: he’s presently doing something important for himself and for the entire family…whatever that means.
Bold and Beautiful Recap: On The Defensive
Loath as she was to return to the subject, Hope felt that it would behoove her and Steffy both to pick up where they left off the day before. Steffy assured Hope that she was only attempting to “make sure that there is no issue” with her working with Thomas, and Hope swore that there wasn’t. Still, Steffy wondered. After all, there was that one time last year when Hope granted Paris (Diamond White) that Thomas was hot.
Hope blanched at the dragging up of ancient history and Steffy’s crack about her and Thomas’s “complicated history.”
“My feelings for your brother are not complicated, they are very straightforward.” Hope groused, before continuing, “I needed him to help save my line. So I agreed to work with him, and that is as far as it goes.” Does that answer Steffy’s question? Yes…maybe. She’s still obviously concerned.
