On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Bill Spencer recaps exactly what he’s put himself through to see that Sheila Carter is brought to justice once and for all — and it was a lot.

Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights

In addition, Hope (Annika Noelle) sensed that something was off with her pops, but Deacon (Sean Kanan) managed to cover beautifully. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.

Bill Spencer Has Been A Very Busy, Secretive Little Bee

At their secretive, F.B.I.-funded outpost, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) assured a dejected, spiraling Bill (Don Diamont) that he’d just have to “hang in there” a little while longer.

“Easy for you to say Forrester,” hissed Bill, adding, “This little sting operation was supposed to last for a week.”

After pointing out that it was Bill who insisted on having things done “the right way,” Ridge also stressed that it was Bill’s idea to lure Sheila into a false sense of security by courting her — and what’s more, it’s working. It’s really working.

“That is a woman who’s starting to lose it,” Ridge declared. “We’re going to have her exactly where we want her.” And that somewhere is prison.

All that’s left is for Bill to get Sheila to confide her laundry list of crimes — the murders especially. Finally, there will be justice for the likes of Lance Day and Jay Garvin.

Bill groused that he was thisclose to getting Sheila to confess her deepest, darkest secrets, but then the lights flickered and spooked her. That prompted profuse apologies from an F.B.I. techy. It was a technical glitch caused by one of the bugging devices, and it won’t happen again.

Oh yes, the bugs. Microphones, cameras, here, there, and yonder. Bil complained that they’ve reduced him to feeling like he lives in a fishbowl, and he demanded assurances that there weren’t any such paraphernalia in his bedroom.

There aren’t. But that didn’t stop Ridge from cracking jokes about spying Bill in his pajamas and having to watch him work his magic in the boudoir.

Setting the jokes aside, Bill admitted that the farce was really starting to take its toll. “I am looking pure evil in the eye, night after night, whispering sweet nothings in its ear, pretending that I accept Sheila for who and what she is.”

And what of his loved ones? Will Katie (Heather Tom), Liam (Scott Clifton), Wyatt (Darin Brooks), and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) forgive him for seemingly turning to the dark side? Ridge is sure they will…just as sure as he is that Bill deserves an Oscar for his performance.

Oh yes, Bill’s performance. The one that dates back to the night he lured her out onto the beach, playing the role of the “lonely, heartbroken, misunderstood man.” Oh, how Sheila had fallen for it all “hook, line, and sinker.’

Sure, it was risky. And it was riskier still to clue Sheila in on the fact that Taylor (Krista Allen) shot him, but that seemed to seal the deal. But despite having to cause their respective loved ones so much suffering, Bill and Ridge agree that it’ll be worth it once Sheila is behind bars for life.

B&B Recap: Coffee Klatch

Opposite this, Deacon found himself forced to end a call with a panicked Sheila, who thinks that Bill has rumbled their affair when Hope came calling.

The father/daughter duo made adorable small talk. Then it moved on to the elephants in the room, namely Hope’s welcoming Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) back into the fold at Forrester Creations and Hope’s concern for Deacon, whom she’s sure is hiding something. After all, he ended that call of his awfully quickly when she showed up.

Deacon insisted that it was nothing more than work-related stress, and Hope seemed assured…for now, anyway.
