In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for September 21, 2023, Douglas proved to be a real chip off the old block.
In addition, Deacon called it quits with Sheila — who held fast to her dream of reconciling with Finn — while Finn resolved to extricate the she-devil from his life once and for all. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
At Forrester Creations, after taking in and praising Thomas’s (Matthew Atkinson) latest designs, Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) circled back to the whole wanting to reunite his mom and dad thing.
Thomas, for his part, gently explained that one doesn’t always get what one wants, pointed out that Hope (Annika Noelle) is going through a lot, and suggested patience. Things will turn out how they are supposed to turn out.

After seeming to let that idea settle, Douglas took his leave of Thomas — something about spending the rest of the day with Donna (Jennifer Gareis) before being dropped off at Hope’s.
Soon after, Thomas received a text message, ostensibly sent by Hope, summoning him to his abode. At the exact same time, Hope also received a test, apparently sent from Thomas, asking her to come over — and really rather spoiling the daddy/daughter moment she was sharing with Deacon (Sean Kanan).
When Hope and Thomas converged, they deduced that they’d been played by their son, who readily admitted to his actions and excused them by offering that he was merely hoping to “make things fall into place a little bit faster.” And besides, Hope is the best mommy, and Thomas is the best daddy, and together, they make each other better, so why not get together?
Back at Deacon’s, Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) emerged from the bathroom (which has become her own personal hidey-hole) and found herself confronted by her stern-faced lover. This was the end of the road for the two of them. For real, this time. Sheila may be unique and mesmerizing, but being with her was also like playing with fire — and Deacon could no longer risk getting burned, not when his relationship with Hope was on the line.
To her credit, Sheila understood. She also managed to make Deacon’s good fortune all about herself, pointing out that if Deacon, of all people, could forge a relationship with his child, then she could have one with Finn (Tanner Novlan) easy peasy.
Unfortunately for Sheila, at the same moment she was making that pronouncement, Finn was busy assuring his mother that he had no intention of ever giving in to Sheila again. What’s more, he’ll make sure that she’s a non-entity in his life moving forward.
