In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for September 18, 2023, Brooke takes Hope to task for her dalliance with Thomas.
Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights
In addition, Ridge reiterates (time and again) how he feels about his namesake working with his dad, and Eric doubles down on his resolve to face off with Ridge on the runway. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
B&B Recap: Bad Behavior
In the catch-all office that is occupied by, at various points in the day, Katie (Heather Tom), Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), Pairs (Diamond White), Zende (Delon de Metz), and even themselves, Hope (Annika Noelle) and Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) basked in the afterglow of their lovemaking.
While Hope wondered aloud whether or not she locked the door (and she most certainly did), Thomas offered that he didn’t think the room would ever feel the same again. He then asked if this was really happening, given that he’d waited so long to have her back in his arms again. Hope questioned if it had been worth the wait, and Thomas answered her with a kiss.

After climbing back atop her lover, Hope made sure that Thomas understood what this was. And it certainly wasn’t love. She’s not ready for that, and she might never be. Thomas promised that he understood. He’s totally okay with being used as Hope’s stud.
Once round two was completed, the duo redressed, unbolted the door, and somehow found themselves once again tangled up in each other’s arms.
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), having left Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and RJ (Joshua Hoffman) to talk “designer to designer,” waltzed inside the room and panicked. What, exactly, was her daughter doing? (As if Brook didn’t know, considering she used to have an office on-site with a bed in it.) Better question: where do things stand between her and Thomas?
Brooke immediately assumed that this was all Thomas’s doing, but Hope took all the credit, insisting as she did that she made the rules and set the boundaries.
But what about Liam (Scott Clifton), and what about their little family, Brooke wondered? She just knew that Hope still loved him and missed him and their life together. Right?
The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Proud(ish) Pop
Meanwhile, across the hall, Ridge praised RJ for finally joining the ranks of Forrester men who design and even waxed lyrical about RJ learning the craft under Eric’s (John McCook) tutelage…but that’s not to say that he didn’t complain about it being Eric that RJ was working with and not him. Also, he’s worried about what designing this new line will take out of his dad.
RJ testily wondered why Ridge wanted Eric to retire so badly, hinted that there was more going on than Ridge realized, and made it clear that Eric wasn’t in the least bit ready to retire — whether Ridge liked it or not.
B&B Recap: Father Vs. Son
Over at the Forrester mansion, Carter took exception to hearing that not only did Eric intend NOT to accept Ridge’s input on his designs, but that he intended to face off with Ridge and let the buyers decide whose line was more superior. Try as he might — and boy did he try — Carter couldn’t convince Eric that such blatant competition might damage the reputation of Forrester Creations being a family-owned and operated company.
