B&B and Y&R Alumna Karla Mosley Gives Birth to Her Second Child

Karla Mosley, best known to soap fans as Maya on The Bold and the Beautiful but also did a recent turn as Amanda on The Young and the Restless, has given birth to her second child, a daughter, Willa Josephine.

Karla Mosley Adds To Her Family

“Our sweet water babe, Willa Josephine,” Mosley happily shared on social media in an Instagram post. “Born on 7/18 into water in her amniotic sac. We are in awe of her and having a blast getting to know her. Thanks for blessing us, dear one.”

Mosley, who joined B&B as Maya Avant in 2013, had been keeping her followers updated with pregnancy posts. While Willa was born three weeks ago, Mosely teased a few posts prior to her most recent one. In a previous shot, Mosley shared a photo of her breastfeeding her bundle of joy.

“…I gotta give it up for #NationalBreastFeedingWeek Month…” Mosley shared. “Lifetime? I know it’s not possible for all mamas. And, much like birth, we gotta raise these babies however we can. Just raise ‘em. With LOVE. Ya know? Buuuuuuuuuuut despite the all-night boob sessions, cluster feeds, pumping…PUMPING…I am grateful that my mom could feed me this way and that I have been able to nourish my kiddos as well. And for the record? These A cups fed one kid for 18 months and are doing just fine right now. So, just know that should you choose to and should your body allow, breastfeeding IS FOR YOU!”

Karla Mosley Has Been On Three CBS Soap Operas

Mosley first made the soap scene in 2008 as Christina on Guiding Light and remained on that show until its finale in 2009. In 2013, the actress joined the cast of B&B as Maya Avant, whom viewers learned was born Myron. The show told a transgender love story in which Rick Forrester (Jacob Young) realized he truly did love Maya and the two wed. Earlier this year, Mosley subbed for Mishael Morgan as Amanda on Y&R.

Willa Josephine joins big sister Aurora Imani, who will turn 3 years old on August 17. The two sisters can be seen in Mosley’s Instagram post below. Soap Hub congratulates Karla Mosley and partner John Rogers on their new daughter.
