When it comes to The Bold and the Beautiful, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days, we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of B&B’s week that was.
The Bold and the Beautiful: The Critic’s POV
I’m not sure if you’ve heard, but Rome is the “City of Eternal Love.” How do I know? Because Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) told Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). And so did Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) — who also might have mentioned it to Katie (Heather Tom), who I’m almost sure, relayed that to Brooke a time or two. Oh, and even Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) relayed that fact. Also, Deacon (Sean Kanan) and Finn (Tanner Novlan), and I think Eric (John McCook), and RJ (Joshua Hoffman), too.
Pretty much the whole of this week’s Bold and the Beautiful was people lobbing that fact. That and Liam (Scott Clifton) whining. Certainly, nothing of note transpired. Absolutely nothing. Wait, Hope (Annika Noelle) did touch Thomas’s (Matthew Atkinson) arms. And there were those NSFW, Skinemax-esque fantasies of Hope riding Thomas while her hair was blown to and fro, but even those were pretty darn pointless.
Further B&B Musings
* How nice it was to see a Katie/Carter moment that was actually about Katie and Carter and not the two of them recapping and/or ruminating on someone else’s love life. I like these two together, really I do. How about giving them an actual storyline?
* How do you solve a problem like Taylor (Krista Allen)? How about not islanding characters, to begin with? Would it have killed B&B to give this woman a sounding board who wasn’t one of her offspring — who have put their parent trapping days well and truly behind them — and/or a fellow auxiliary satellite that she’d eventually use and abuse [looking at you Deacon]?
* When, and where, exactly, did the Forrester Creations contingent change into those brand-new duds they were sporting post-jet? Did each step into the aircraft’s bathroom and redress while the others patiently waited for their turn? Seems like a waste of time if you ask me. Get to the villa, shower, and then step into something fabulous. At least Hope ditched that acid-washed denim onesie.
