A Critic’s Review Of The Bold and the Beautiful: Lots Of Talk, No Action

The author’s opinions on Bold and the Beautiful are his and his alone. They’re suitably scathing, fairly humorous, and normally bang on target.

When it comes to The Bold and the Beautiful, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days, we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of B&B’s week that was.

The Bold and the Beautiful: A Critic Ponders

The circle of those in the know about Bill’s (Don Diamont) shooting widened by one this week, and…yea, that was about it as far as discernable developments go.

Once Katie (Heather Tom) became privy to Taylor’s (Krista Allen) crime, a great deal of the conversations on-screen revolved around that fact.

And there were a whole lot of people who offered opinions on whether or not Taylor should unburden herself to authorities. And there was Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) showing up where she wasn’t wanted and leveling threats — can’t say that anything new.

There was some innuendo about Deacon’s big (Sean Kanan) *erm* manhood, but that’s been popping up in scripts for quite some time now.

And in case you weren’t aware, just about everybody on the canvas is worried about Bill. Also, he’s just not himself, there’s something terribly wrong with him, he’s under Sheila’s spell, and other such variations on the theme.

Here’s hoping that you weren’t too interested in the fate of the Hope For The Future Line, Paris’s (Diamond White) increasing hero worship of Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), or the drama that could be mined from her sheltering the prodigal Forrester.

And if you happened to wonder — much like I’ve been doing for nearly two weeks now — just what that look on Douglas’s () face was supposed to be telegraphing, too bad, so sad. No answers for us.

This week was all Bill and all Taylor and just a skosh of romance courtesy of Katie and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood)…and even those scenes were chockablock with heavy-handed recapitulation. Not exactly the stuff that supercouples are made of.
