When it comes to The Bold and the Beautiful, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days, we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of B&B’s week that was.
The Bold and the Beautiful: A Critic’s Week In Review
So, correct us if we’re wrong, but we are sure that the majority of the drama displayed on this week’s B&B surrounded the use of a heart emoji. The use of a heart emoji. It’s not exactly riveting stuff.
Now, Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) attempt to paint Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) in a bad light by manipulating her hospital machines during their argument, that was riveting.
Steffy screeching to John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), “Did you send her a heart emoji,” and Sheila swearing left, right, and center that the clip art proved her son’s undying devotion was not.
Side note: we can see how Sheila came to that conclusion. It took Finn no time at all to start calling Sheila “mother” and “mom” while relegating Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda), the woman who raised, loved, and nurtured him, to “Li.”
Thank goodness for The Bold and the Beautiful’s B storyline – even though it does contain a wealth of issues. Firstly, we’d just like to say that we’re praying the show, “goes there,” with Eric Forrester (John McCook), Quinn Fuller Forrester (Rena Sofer), and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), if for no other reason than to see Brooke Logan Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) reaction. Can. You. IMAGINE?!
Secondly, we have said that this whole thing is both an HR nightmare and a true recipe for disaster. How exactly will it all work? What rules will be devised? And does Quinn even want to look outside her marriage for sexual fulfillment? Perhaps Eric should discuss that with her, privately, and then get back to Carter.
Further B&B Critic’s Musings
* So, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) just can’t believe that his dad forgave Quinn for cheating on him? Hmmm…we wonder why; because he’s already forgiven her for locking lips with Ridge; and Eric’s also forgiven Brooke her affair with Ridge that took place while they were married.
* Character We Most Certainly Have Our Eye On: Paris Buckingham (Diamond White). We dismissed Zoe Buckingham’s (Kiara Barnes) warnings about her as sour grapes…but she was awfully quick to abandon Zende Forrester (Delon de Metz) and run to Finn’s side. We can understand wanting to be there for a friend in need, but boundaries Paris, boundaries.
* It appears that having served their purpose a few weeks back, Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) have once again be relegated to the back burner, alongside fellow Hardley-Ever-Seen-Anymores like Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks), Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden), Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), and Justin Barber (Aaron D. Spears).
