When it comes to The Bold and the Beautiful, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days, we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of B&B’s week that was.

The Bold and the Beautiful: A Critic’s Week In Review

Wouldn’t it behoove Bradley Bell to just remake the Parent Trap rather than try to remount the beloved family film Monday – Friday in the timeslot reserved for The Bold and the Beautiful? Maybe once his obvious dream — obsession? — is realized, he’ll go back to writing a soap opera rather than a farce concerning thirty-somethings trying to reunite their fifty-something genitors.

And here’s hoping that that soap opera, which presumably will still be called The Bold and the Beautiful, will actually honor and openly reference its canon.

Like when blanket statements such as Taylor is full of, “integrity” and that she’s “loyal and completely devoted to Ridge,” is made, there will always be someone on hand to say, “Yea, when she’s not downing a bottle of spirits, shooting and/or running someone over, and cheating on Ridge so that she doesn’t die unsatisfied and her good buddy James Warwick doesn’t shake off his mortal coil with his virginity intact.”

Or, when Ggggggridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) voices his displeasure over Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) hugging Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), someone somewhere — hopefully Brooke — will say, “The minute you stop eye humping and snuggling up to your ex-wife will be the time you can have a say when it comes to who I do and do not embrace. Also, I wasn’t the one locking lips with an ex. That was YOU.”

Further B&B Musings

* If Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) is Deacon Sharpe’s, “whole world,” what does that say about poor forgotten Little Eric?
