7 Things to Know About The Bold and the Beautiful Star Diamond White

Zoe’s sister, Paris Buckingham has hit The Bold and the Beautiful scene, and Diamond White is playing her. Last seen in the recurring role as Lala on the final season of Empire, the 21-year-old actress has an interesting background, and her career has spanned an array of diverse projects.

1. There’s a parade on her birthday every year. Why, you might wonder? Because she’s a New Year’s baby. That’s right. White was born on January 1, 1999, in Detroit, MI.

2. White wowed judges Simon Cowell, Demi Lovato, Britney Spears, and L.A. Reid, when she auditioned for The X-Factor at the age of 13 in 2012, singing James Brown classic, It’s a Man’s World. She had a successful run on the show and ended up finishing in fifth place.

3. She released her first single, Born Rich, in September 2015, followed by the song Lie on the Night in October. That December, White’s debut album, Pressure, hit the music scene.

4. A self-professed fan of cartoons, White has done a lot of work in animation. She voices Frankie Greene in Transformers: Rescue Bots and Fuli on the Disney Junior series The Lion Guard. She’s also made a cameo appearance on Sofia the First and had a recurring role on Phineas and Ferb.

5. If she could star in the remake of a classic film, it’s an easy choice for White. She’d pick The Bodyguard, tackling the role of music superstar Rachel Marron. It was the role originally played by the late, real-life music superstar Whitney Houston.

6. She made her feature film debut playing Tiffany in Tyler Perry’s Boo! A Madea Halloween in 2016, and also appeared in the same role in the sequel, Boo 2! A Madea Halloween in 2017. Truth be told, White had more fun in the second movie because she “was less nervous about working with [director/co-star] Tyler Perry.”

7. In a 2018 interview, White revealed that one of her goals was to one day buy a house in Los Angeles for her mother, and not just any house. She noted that she wanted it to be “10 times better than our home in Detroit,” which, sadly, burned down.
